The $11.64 million facility bond did not pass in 2019, and the district's academic programs were at capacity in its current facilities.
Dani Trimble, Superintendent of Alburnett Community Schools, knew that strong community engagement was vital for voters to approve the bond this year. "So the Flyer app that we had become so accustomed to using really turned into a strong communication tool for us in the process," Trimble says.
One of the most powerful ways Trimble and her team used the Flyer Connect app was to broadcast recorded videos, to respond to an ongoing FAQ, and to send reminders to exercise their duty to vote multiple times on election day.
"I would consider the communication we did through this platform to be very key to the success. We, in the end, were successful with our bond election. It took two times, but we were able to use the platform in a different way."
